About Shannon Mitchell

Hi, I am Shannon Mitchell. I have four children and my husband. I’ve attend births in a wide variety of ways in the last 17 years and have always pursued education. I have an incredible desire to make a difference in the world when it comes to understanding information about birth. That’s where this website comes into play.

I experience strong dissonance when I notice inconsistencies and incorrect information about birth, and so it feels good to review the information and bring to light what I’ve found. That is what BIRTHLIBRARY.COM is all about. I have categorized the information I have found and explain it in terms of how I see it. My hope is to level the playing field between the public and big institutions working to propagate their specific agendas. I want to shine a light on the information in a way that is free from big dollar influence, ignorance, and apathy.

I am so happy to have a place where I can collect information and present everything that appears “between the lines.” Here’s to clarity and understanding.
